November 29: Rising Tide Flotilla, Horseshoe Beach + Camp Shortland, Muloobinba/Newcastle
Our team returns to this year’s Rising Tide event with Bernie, our 9 metre long inflatable humpback whale! Come down for beach festivities, harbour flotillas and an incredible line up of acts at the site of Australia’s biggest contribution to the climate crisis. We joined the blazing lineup of entertainment at Sandstone Point Hotel’s legendary Bonfire Night – roving with Gimbay and Pelican!

July 12, 2025: Family Fun Night at Winter Festival, Port Stephens
We returned to Port Stephens Winter Festival Family Fun Night with a whole bunch of our illuminated puppets – River Spirit had a boogie and our ibis chicks were a crowd favourite!
August 11-15: Australian Performing Arts Exchange (APAX) and Darwin Festival, Darwin, NT
We headed to the NT and presented our work at the Australian Performing Arts Exchange (APAX) Market and brought our ibis chick Sid to Darwin Festival
August 16: WinterHeat Festival, Newcastle
This was a HOT one! We launched our new show SPARK at WinterHeat – where we rant spark lantern making workshops and the kids helped us wake up our brand new Fire Spirit for a fiery dance!
September 12-14: REAL Festival, Penrith
We were roving at Penrith’s Flagship Event – Real Festival – with our aerial puppets and bush clowns!
September 27: Dragon Dreaming Festival, Wee Jasper
What a joy to be back at Dragon Dreaming – Nova turned up the heat on Saturday night!
October 4: Light Up, Gosford
Fire Spirit and a crew of our animal puppets went to Light Up, an event with an amazing Line Up honouring Audrey Griffin and advocating for a safer future.
October 4-5: OId Bar Beach Festival, Old Bar Beach
We had a “whale of a time” at Old Bar Beach Festival!
October 10: “Spark” Lantern making workshops for Maitland Riverlights
October 11: Maitland Riverlights, The Levee, Maitland
Fire Spirit & River Spirit lead the community parade at Maitland Riverlights and then went to dance in front of the River Stage
October 11: Arts Alive, Wollondilly
We brought a fun mix of puppets down to Arts Alive and transformed the streets of Picton
October 18: Shadow Puppetry Workshop, Curious Legends Studio

October 18: Culture Vibes, Kensington
FireSpirit and a menagerie of our illuminated animals were roving at Kensington Oval
October 19: Concourse Artisan Market, The Concourse Chatswood
We lit up the Concourse Artistan Markets – Sid and Nellie, our cheeky ibis chicks spread laughter and curiosity, and we ran Butterfly Making workshops, then fluttered into a fun, interactive performance for all ages.
October 25th + 26th: Costume Making Workshops, Wallsend

October 31: Wallsend Frights – A Hallow Evening, Wallsend Park

Yes, we’ll also brought some spooky fun to Victoria – a cheeky ibis chick and some fun shadow puppetry!
November 1: Whale Song at Sunset, Songs & Stories at Headland Park – Festival of Mosman
Our whales migrated to beautiful Mosman!
November 9: Creating Magical Characters – Mask Workshop ft. Ross Brown
Local legend Ross Brown, a.k.a The Maskman – a Newcastle based maker of theatre, masks and puppets held this fantastic workshop
November 15: Murrook Cultural Festival, Worimi Sand Dunes, Williamtown
What a special event in the sand dunes celebrating the 40th anniversary of Worimi Aboriginal Land Council – we brought Bernie, our giant whale and roved with multiple puppets.
