Step into the glow of Spark where our celestial Fire Spirit ‘Nova’ enchants the audience with light, movement and magic in a fiery celebration of wonder and dance.
Spark is our newest performance and launched in August 2025 at Newcastle’s hottest event – WinterHeat Festival. Our giant, illuminated Fire Spirit puppet embodies the essence of fire and light, spreading wonder and awe as she hovers through the crowd and lights up the night, accompanied by a magical ambient soundscape mirrored by our BOOM Sparks.
As part of the performance, the participants’ own creations will spark beside our celestial Fire Spirit to awaken our illuminated giant and dance with her into the night in a fiery parade.
Touring
We are excited to announce that Spark will be available for touring in 2025-2026!
Leading up to the performance, we offer workshops in which audience participants are invited to make handheld spark lanterns. Each spark will be illuminated on the night with lighting tech from our studio.
As we are lighting sparks, participants can also join a simultaneous movement workshop to learn how to animate their lanterns.
Local community members and audience participants are invited into the show by joining our moving, dancing parade.
