On October 29, 2022 we brought some frighteningly fun festivities to Wallsend! We partnered with WOW Wallsend, Wallsend Village, Purple Card Project, and Newy With Kids to bring you Wallsend Frights – another awesome family event funded by City of Newcastle’s Special Business Rates program.

FRIGHTFUL Costume Making Workshops:

Hundreds of people joined the crew from Curious Legends (including the devilishly creative mind of Studio Maker Alice McKaig) for some Halloween fun to make zombie and mutant costumes! Together with the Purple Card Projects ‘Op Shop Trail’, we showed participants how to raid the local Op shops and make Halloween costumes with their findings!

Wallsend FRIGHTS:

Over 2000 people joined the crew from Curious Legends for some SPOOKY Halloween mischief! Families dressed up and joined us for bone digging, craft tables, shadow puppets, illuminated giant puppets, animations & soundscape, and so much more! Participants even got freaky in a zombies vs mutants dance battle alongside our illuminated giants!!
