Join Curious Legends for a Professional Development opportunity exploring puppetry, specifically focusing on our brand spankin’ new Baby Ibis Puppets! This masterclass is a fantastic opportunity for artists and performers to expand their skillset into the art of BIG illuminated puppets, or for puppeteers to refine their skills. Exploring characters across our recent work, we will focus on the animation, manipulation, and lighting techniques for our latest creations from our upcoming show, ‘Hatched’.
This is ALSO an opportunity to introduce yourself to our company, and for us to see how you work! We have HEAPS of paid work coming up over the next 12 months throughout NSW, as well as nationally and internationally. We are always on the lookout for people who can confidently work with our puppets, and join us on tour.
This masterclass will be hosted by our Artistic Director Mitchell Reese, and Studio Artist Georgia Gaffney.
About Us
Mitchell Reese:
The Artistic Director of Curious Legends, Mitchell has been working in the Arts for over 20 years. A multidisciplinary artist, Mitchell works as both director and performer within our Company. Most at home performing on the street, when he’s not running things, Mitch can be found exploring the world and busking in far-off places.
Georgia Gaffney:
A maker and performing artist, Georgia has been working with Curious Legends since 2017. The creator (with help from Erth & Tantrum) of our much loved Ibis Puppet, Georgia is the heart and soul behind our new show, Hatched. Her beloved Ibis has had babies, and they glow…

Location: Curious Legends Studio – 1 Swan St, Hamilton
Cost: $10
Audience: This workshop is open to everyone 18+, who have a background in the performing arts of any discipline.
