Made. In. Newcastle. is a joint undertaking between the Newcastle Art Space, Curious Legends, and Fingers Crossed Creative. Funded by Newcastle City Council’s Special Business Rates program and the RISE Fund, our aims are simple: get money out to professional artists to make great art, and increase foot traffic to local businesses in Newcastle.

The first 4 months of the project – from December 2020 to March 2021, focus on the Newcastle CBD. From April through December of 2021, we’re taking this project everywhere else in this City! There are a whole slew of talented artists and local businesses involved to create inspiring happenings: Musicians performing on the street, script readings in bars, art workshops, art installations, tiny mural paintings, giant puppets, indigenous art, street theatre, kids concerts – there really is something for everyone!
