 Do you have a secret home? A place to be yourself when no-one else is watching? Sometimes, this can be as simple as a cardboard box... Inspired by Australia's rich fabric of multicultural stories, My Secret Home is an imaginative journey written specifically for 5 to 12 year olds. Celebrating books, reading, and the times we spend alone, storytelling and folklore combine as a theatrical feast in this new solo show from Curious Legends. Especially well-suited to libraries and small, more intimate venues, books and reading form an integral part of the play; woven into the very fabric of the set. And as the performance unfolds, children become the characters in the story, finding their way past ogres and elephants, jaguars, rabbits, and an old man called Wali-dad.
