fringe! This September, Curious Legends is proud to present Company
Gongoma at the Northcote Town Hall with 'The Mermaid's
Daughter'. The Mermaid's Daughter*An inspiring show for all ages, 'The Mermaid's Daughter' is a shadow puppet play by Company Gongoma. With traditional African music, folklore, storytelling, and shadow puppetry, come join the young girl Sia on an adventure to the bottom of the sea. It is there that she meets the Mamiwata, an African mermaid. Will little Sia find her way home again?Company Gongoma have toured extensively throughout Australia, and are now back again in Melbourne. Having won recognition and critical acclaim at various festivals, we're excited to bring them to Northcote Town Hall! Venue details and times are below: Northcote Town Hall, Northcote, Studio 2, Melbourne Fringe Festival Dates: September 24th through 26th, 2008 Times: 10am and 2pm daily Cost: $15 full, $13 concession Workshops Available!!!!As well as their great show, Company Gongama will be sharing a shadow puppetry workshop right after 'The Mermaid's Daughter'.
