Who are we? We are a group of passionate, driven individuals from business and the arts, charged with the task to strategically lead and guide the development of Curious Legends.
Chairperson – Shani Moffat
Shani has over 15 years in arts management with experience in strategy and leadership across several high profile organisations including Sydney Opera House, Word Travels and the Glebe Chamber of Commerce. Her work also encompasses project management, business development and community cultural development. She is a seasoned puppeteer who has performed in a dozen countries, and also holds the role of Creative Producer at Curious Legends.

Treasurer – Katriona Lee
Katriona is an experienced corporate strategist and former management consultant. Prior to her current role as Director of Global Strategy at Xero, she was Head of Strategy at Heathrow Airport and Head of Strategic Projects at MarketFinance (a Fintech250 startup) backed by Barclays and Santander. Her passion for the Arts stems from her training as a classical ballerina and keen participant in the dramatic arts throughout her education.
Secretary – Sarah Marshman
Sarah is a driven commercial insurance lawyer and corporate governance professional with diverse arts experience. For ten years, Sarah worked at Australian’s oldest independent record store and is a senior editor of Perth-based cultural website, Isolated Nation. Professionally, her experience spans employers’ indemnity, general insurance, public liability and professional indemnity across Australia. Sarah is also an experienced non-executive director and serves on multiple not-for-profit boards.
Member – Cameron Allan
Cameron is a Policy Officer at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and CEO of the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership, committed to connecting and growing authentic international relationships between Australia and Southeast Asia. Cameron graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and International Security Studies from the Australian National University (ANU) in 2020, where he was a Hawker Scholar and National University Scholar. In 2019, Cameron studied at Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta and the National University of Singapore as the New Colombo Plan ASEAN Fellow.
CEO – Mitchell Reese
Mitchell is Curious Legends’ founder and CEO/Artistic Director. Graduating with a Masters in Arts Management from RMIT in Melbourne, Mitchell has spent over 20 years creating theatre for families and young people. With a wide range of skills in directing & performance, Mitchell is the driving force behind Curious Legends. He has managed numerous high profile projects, working with community, government, commercial, and NGO partners across three continents.
