About Us

Curious Legends sprang into being in mid 2005 as a vibrant new theatre company. Based in Melbourne, Australia, our work varies from performances with children to workshops for adults with disabilities. While primarily focused on creating unique and imaginative theatre for children, our performances involve a wide range of people. With fun and excitement leading the way, Curious Legends can regularly be found touring throughout Melbourne and Australia.

Biographies

Mitchell Reese (co-founder) is an actor and musician. He spent five years as a professional storyteller, presenting his solo show at private functions, schools and festivals both in Australia and overseas. As well as performing in all of the current shows , Mitchell is studying performance and theatre making at Deakin University.

Alexandra Day (co-founder), actor and dancer, studied Eurythmy in London for 3 years, an art of movement that informs much of her acting work. An inspiring performer, she is much of the creative juice behind the theatre company.

The pair have a shared interest in the power of story, the fun of live theatre and in sharing inspiration with children. Curious Legends regularly works with other artists, and has a wide base of theatre practitioners to draw on for specific projects.
